I have realized from interactions with Africans who are in Diaspora (Global Africans) that as much as you really wish to relocate back to your roots or to an African country of your choice. This can become a really daunting task, and that is why some tend to postpone it or procrastinate about it.

So, to make that thought and goal less stressing, I have thought through deeply, thoroughly and critically and have come up with 7 major points that you should consider when making your plans to relocate. And if studied and considered would make your mind a little more at ease and would assist you with your plans.

Some of these key factors to consider include:

  1. Political Stability or Instability of the Country you hope to move into as well as your relationship with the embassy or consular of the country you represent.
  2. The Socio- Economics of the same country
  3. Establishing a Business – To keep your skills, talents and professional experience useful and active, as well as to generate a source of income for you.
  4. Investment in Real Estate, Existing Businesses or Paper Assets and other Financial Instruments.
  5. Establishing the right friendships and joining the right associations.
  6. Your House or Accomodation (Apartment) – where you will wish to live or reside.
  7. Settling into a local branch of your preferred church or religious organization
  8. Others…. (Your means of transportation within the country, fun and entertainment places where you can hang out and socialize,
