Leandro Trossard’s early goal has ensured that the Premier League title race will go down to the final day as the Gunners return to the top of the table

Arsenal have done all that they can to lift this season’s premier league title. This is a massive improvement compared to their form last season when they gave up too early. There has been a lot of drama as the season comes to an end. With Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United, Manchester City have to beat Tottenham at all cost on Tuesday. That was only compounded when Onana made two fine saves after the 80th minute, both from headers from set-pieces
The only goal of Arsenal’s match with United was scored by Leandro Trossard after Casemiro played Arsenal’s entire attack onside. Although Arsenal did not look their best in the game, United also never looked like a team that was willing to score despite their performance.
Erik Ten Hag was very conscious of the recent criticisms of him after his side lost to Palace and hence a much greater focus towards preparations for their game against the Gummers.
Arteta purposely played conservatively in order to just get the job done here at a stadium with a lot of emotional baggage with the club. United could have scored if they had kept the focus. Arsenal’s center-backs did well to frustrate United’s forwards.
There were so many moments when United looked like they might force an opening in the box, only for one of the center-halves to get a vital touch.
Arsenal would have to fight with their all and hope that City would drop points.
