The President of the Republic, His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye paid this afternoon a courtesy visit to the Archbishop of Dakar, Benjamin Monsiegn Ndiaye.
This meeting was an opportunity for the Church to offer prayers for the success of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye’s mandate and to discuss the finishing work of the Marial Shrine of Popenguine.
Concerning this last point, the Head of State expressed his willingness to take the necessary arrangements to finalize the works of the sanctuary.
On his part, the head of the church has expressed confidence in the ability of the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Faye to guide Senegal towards prosperity.
This speaks volumes of the kind of leadership that we should expect from the newly elected President of Senegal along with his Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
