Transforming the education sector in Africa through collaboration

Uniek Ideas Consulting, an educational and technology consulting firm in Lagos, Nigeria is breaking grounds and making great impact in education in Nigeria. Uniek Ideas Consulting is in the process of a collaboration arrangement with the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), UNESCO MIL, GEMSTONE Leadership Institute and Notable Icons in the education sector to launch a transformative Outreach program titled “Tech Leadership Conference.”. This initiative which is one of the first of its kind in Nigeria seeks to equip educators across Lagos State with essential skills in leadership, technology, and sex education, and Media Information Literacy empowering them to drive positive change in society.

With over 11,000 teachers in government-owned schools and institutions, Uniek Ideas Consulting is committed to ensuring that these educators are equipped with the necessary skills to prepare children for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

Under the Tech Leadership Conference, Uniek Ideas Consulting will provide training to at least 3,000 teachers across government and private schools in Lagos State, at no cost to the participants. The training will cover topics such as Leadership and Service Excellence, Technology, Media & Information Literacy and Sex Education addressing critical areas that impact both educators and students.

Uniek Ideas Consulting brings a wealth of experience to this initiative, having previously built one of the largest online learning platforms for the Edo SUBEB (Edo State Universal Education Board). This platform, designed to support over 11,000 teachers in continuous professional development, serves as a testament to the organization’s commitment to improving education through innovation and technology.

The Tech Leadership Conference aims to promote:

Leadership & Service Excellence: Equipping educators to be role models for the children they teach, fostering a culture of leadership and service within the education sector.

Technology: Leveraging technology as an enabler to enhance the teaching-learning process, making education more accessible and engaging.

Sex Education: Addressing the taboo surrounding sex education to combat issues such as rape and child molestation, ultimately creating safer environments for children.

Media and Information Literacy: Empowering educators to understand how to curb hate speech, disinformation, Fake news and privacy violations.
